Miss Pebbles joined our home on August 1 2008 - the day my grandma died. She and her three siblings were foster kittens and I agreed to have them in my home until they were adopted. About a week after joining our home, we noticed some skin leisions on Pebbles - she had ringworm. Her brothers and sister have all found a new home, but with very active ringworm, Pebbles has stayed with us for treatment. We officially adoped Pebbles in October and her kitty brother Milo and kitty sister Bella have accepted her as part of the family. We are now two weeks and counting until we will be officially ’cured’ of ringworm. It has been a long, long process, but we all see the sunshine. I wrote this Valentines Day Poem for my Pebbles:
Pebbles
Pet me, pet me now!
She demands as I lie in sleep,
Slipping her head under my heavy hand.
I smile and give an accommodating scratch behind her ear.
